Eastern Meadowlark
I first went to Mt. Sidney, VA to look for the reposrted Dickcissel - did not see it, but saw several Red-winged Blackbirds, Mourning Doves, a Song Sparrow, and an Eastern Meadowlark, as well as a juvenile Common Grackle that was just getting its black feathers.

I then headed over to Staunton to look for the Great Blue Heron rookery on Sangers Lane, and was not disappointed.
