American Coot
Alice and I went for a 2-1/2 mile hike around Lake Monocan, and on the return leg saw an American Coot swimming in the lake. The Coot was staying close to the floaties that keep canoeists away from the golf course water hazard - I think that the Coot thought that the floaties were relatives of his.

As we were walking up our street, we heard a single engine plane - when we looked up we did not see the plane, but saw three Black Vultures flying in formation - almost seemed like the vultures had engines and were crossing the channel!
