Rockfish Valley Trail 4/14/2011

All photos are Marshall Faintich

I spent two hours this morning (8:30 - 10:30) on the downstream and Glenthorne Loop trails. Although I did not see about a dozen or so species that I expected to see this morning, I still saw 26 species, including two FOS species, a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and a White-eyed Vireo, and a new Rockfish Valley Trail species, a Hooded Merganser on the small Glenthorne Loop pond, bringing the Rockfish Valley Trail total to 181 avian species. There was also a large flock of female Red-winged Blackbirds.
