Rockfish Valley Trail 5/26/11

I went back to the trail this morning to see if the Olive-sided Flycatcher was still there. The one that visited the trail in May 2008 stayed around for a few days, but I did not see yesterday's OS Flycatcher. There was a Yellow-breasted Chat singing high in one of the trees, and I photographed a still-to-be-identified caterpillar hanging above the second wooden bridge. The highlight of the morning was when my friendly White-eyed Vireo popped up in front of me, chattering away, and posed in a couple of locations so I could take more photos. This vireo seems to have no fear of my being close to him.
