Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch 8/29/11

I spent three hours at the Hawk Watch from about 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Only saw a few distant Broad-winged Hawks, some Turkey and Black Vultures, a Common Raven, and a few small birds: Mourning Dove, Chimney Swift, American Goldfinches, and some Cedar Waxwings. The most interesting wildlife was a wolf spider (Rabidosa punctulata) that was crawling up the wall next to where I was sitting.
