Before I report on this morning's hike, I'd like to share a photo of a Great Blue Heron that I took on March 24th here in Stoney Creek and forgot to post on this blog. Thought you might enjoy it.
Great Blue Heron
It was in the high 20s and windy when I headed out here in Stoney Creek this morning for a 2.5 mile hike. I was rewarded with 35 avian species, which is very good for this resort community. I saw a Red-bellied Woodpecker with the reddest belly and breast that I have ever seen, and two of the drabbest colored Eastern Bluebirds I have ever seen.
