I have been hiking here in the Old Trail subdivision when I didn't have time to go elsewhere, and have seen a few interesting birds within a few minutes of our new home.

Note the long tail on this squirrel

Old Trail isn't exceptionally "birdy," but a good number of avian species have been seen here over the past few years. I researched my old postings, and I have now seen 72 avian species in Old Trail, and when combined with Old Trail bird species that I could find posted on eBird, the Old Trail bird list has 173 species recorded here. Email me if you would like a copy of the list I have compiled.
