I drove to Warren Ferry in southeastern Albemarle County to look for Yellow-throated Warblers. If they are going to nest there again this year, they should be there by now. I ended up with 20+ avian species, but no Yellow-throated Warblers.

I did get a consolation prize. There was a small flock of Palm Warblers there. I see quite a few of this species in the fall, but not many in the spring when they are sporting their red cap breeding plumage.

I stopped at Totier Park near Scottsville, and only saw a few birds there. But there were lots of turtles. It looked like some of them were playing leap frog.
