Old Trail

With complete cloud cover that also shrouded the mountains, and intermittent rain forcasted for the entire day, I opted to hike here in Old Trail. It hasn't rained yet today, and I was able to get in a 4 mile hike that yielded 35 avian species (possibly 38). I saw several species that I haven't see so far this fall, as well as a few species migrating through the area.

I saw my first Palm Warblers of the fall, two Pine Warblers, and thought I heard and perhaps saw a Common Yellowthroat, but can't confirm this.

I may have heard a Blue Grosbeak as well as a White-eyed Vireo, but can't confirm either of these species. But I can confirm 35 avian species for the morning, which made for a good hike.
