Once again, the mountains were shrouded with dense fog, and there was light drizzle as I drove to Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. I met up there with Tink Moyer, and we saw about 20 avian species there, although the only warbler was a heard-only American Redstart.

I then went up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Route 610. It was foggy at first, but then mostly cleared. I logged about 20 avian species up there, including 8 warbler species. Worm-eating and Pine Warblers were heard-only, and Hooded Warbler was both heard and seen, but not long enough for a photo. Almost all of the warblers were high up in the trees under bright, cloudy skies.
