After seeing only a few warblers up on Route 610 and the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday, I wanted to try an area with fewer dying leaves, so I met up with Tink Moyer at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. We ended up with 24 avian species, including 4 warbler species: Black-throated Blue (at least 4), Black-throated Green (2), Cape May (1), and Yellow-rumped (1). We also saw 4 or 5 Blue-headed Vireos.

After leaving Ridgeview Park, I drove up to Route 610. Not starting out there was a good decision. There were multiple vans, trucks, and heavy equipment between Elk Mountain Road and Old Elk Mountain Road. It looks like the latter road is being re-done. I didn't see any warblers there, but added Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Swainson's Thrush to the day list.
