Blue Ridge Parkway, VA 5/26/2021

The Birdcast radar showed good migratory movement through Virginia overnight, so I went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Route 610 to see what avian species might have shown up. I ended up with 22 avian species, including 5 warbler species (Cerulean, American Redstart, Hooded, Common Yellowthroat, and Ovenbird), but most of the birds were high up in the tree canopies, and the tree foliage was so dense that I only saw about half of the species, and the rest were heard only birds. I need to get up to higher elevations where there is less foliage.
