Blue Ridge Parkway, VA 7/13/2021

It really was too hot to go birding, but I thought it might be cooler up on the parkway and Route 610. But it was hot up there as well, and most of the birds were hunkered down under the shade of vegetation to stay cool. Although I ended up with 22 avian species, including 7 warblers species, Ovenbirds, Cerulean Warblers, and a Pine Warbler were heard only, and I only got quick looks at American Redstarts and Hooded Warblers.
