The weather has been really crazy. Warm and cool fronts have moved through the area all week, bringing rain, sunshine, breezy and gusty winds, and huge temperature changes. It was 82 degrees on Thursday, and there's a forecast for a wintry mix on Saturday. The birds have been just as confused as the birders. I saw a few species that I hadn't seen for a few weeks/months, some birds have already migrated away, and others have been migrating through. There were a ton of sparrows on Wednesday, and most of the sparrow species are only here for the winter months. On Friday, I saw very few sparrows. I ended this week with 34 avian species. Noticeably missing were Black Vultures and Pileated Woodpeckers.
