Most of my wildlife photography time during the first half on February has been devoted to processing the 2000+ photos that I took last month in Australia and New Zealand. However, I did manage to go for a few photo hikes here in Stoney Creek. A few of the photos are worth sharing.
February 10: There were two Red-shouldered Hawks in a tree in my yard - hope they are planning on nesting here. Also got a shot of a Great Blue Heron with a fish that was so big, it wasn't sure what to do next!

February 11: When I went outside yesterday afternoon for a walk, this Red-shouldered Hawk was near the door, and then flew up to a tree about 10 feet away from me. He stayed there as I took so photos, and then I continued on my walk with the hawk still there. I am hoping that it is getting to know me and will let me close more often.

February 14: This Great Blue Heron was trying to hide from me, but I got its photo.
