Just a few photos of a few critters that I have seen here during the past week or so.
Red-spotted Newt
White-tailed Deer
Woodchuck
Light southerly breezes have stalled the fall migration. I drove the first 12 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway and back, and then the last 13 miles of Skyline Drive and back, stopping at all my good birding locations. All I saw were a few Pewees, Goldfinches, Towhees, Turkey Vultures, a Black and White Warbler, a Crow, a Carolina Wren, and a Pileated Woodpecker. Rain and a cool front are forecast for tomorrow, with winds shifting to northerly.
