Stoney Creek (Wintergreen) 8/13/13

All photos are © Marshall Faintich

Last night's/this morning's rain was supposed to usher in cooler temperatures and drier air. It's not here yet. My afternoon hike here in Stoney Creek was hot, muggy, and uncomfortable. At least I saw a few species that made the hike worthwhile. Most of the 15 species that I saw this afternoon were in the small pine forest at the end of my street. I walked into more spider webs than the number of good photos I got today :-)
