The first unidentified bird species looks like a sparrow to me, but the white lines on its back are confusing. My best guess is a female House Sparrow, but all opinions are appreciated.

The second unidentified bird species was seen flying at the Thrasher site. My best guess is a female Phainopepla, but I am not sure.

The third unidentified bird species was seen flying as we were driving down the dirt road on Mt. Ord. It was quite far away, but still looked large - like a hawk. It has a squared-off tail, a plain gray back, and an underwing pattern that makes me think that it was a Merlin. Again, all opinions are appreciated.
