Stoney Creek (Wintergreen) 4/11/15

I did a little birding near my home in Stoney Creek, and was happy to see my first-of-season (FOS) Green Heron in the pond behind my house.

Rockfish Valley Trail 4/12/15

The annual kite festival was today, so I took a short hike this morning from the bog area south to route 627. There were a few birds on the trail, and the highlight for me was a pair of Louisiana Waterthrushes (FOS).

Penn Park, Charlottesville, VA 4/12/15

I went for a short hike there in the afternoon and saw a few woodland birds.
