Ridgeview Park (Waynesboro)

I only saw 19 avian species in the park today, but I did see my FOS House Wren, and a Black-capped Chickadee. There were a lot of Carolina Chickadees there, but the Black-capped was singing a different song, and had its classic field marks.

There were a few birds on the parkway between its northern beginning and the pioneer farm at the Humpback Rocks visitor center. There were only a few birds, and some wildflowers at higher elevations. I heard both a Screech Owl and a Barred Owl, but couldn't see either one, and counting the owls, had 15 avian species on the parkway. Looks like it will be another three to four weeks before the higher elevations will be green.
