I had some time this morning to do a short birding outing, so I went over to the Rockfish Valley Trail. It was sunny, but the brisk wind made the near-40 degree temperature seem a lot colder. There weren't very many birds out, but I did manage to log 18 common, winter, avian species, although a barking dog, that was allowed to run loose by its owners, interrupted my birding three times while I was there.
