We finally got a break in the weather as a cool and drier front moved throught the area yesterday. There were reports of mixed warbler flocks about 50 miles north of here, and I decided to try my luck on the first 12 miles of the Blue Ride Parkway. It wasn't as "birdy" as I had hoped, but I did see three warbler species there in addition to a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. The only warbler species that I saw more than once was Tennessee.

I then went to Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro, but saw only a few common woodland birds. A short afternoon hike in Old Trail yielded my fourth warbler of the day - an American Redstart.
