Temperatures continue to seesaw here. It ws in the nid-70s a few days ago, but in the mid-20s during last night, and 40 degrees with a stiff breeze when I went for a hike mid-morning. After a while, the wind calmed down a bit, and some more birds ventured out. I ended up with 22 avian species. The best bird was a Brown Creeper. This species is supposed to be a winter resident here, but I don't see them very often.
