Ah, spring is almost here! At least until the snow forecasted for Sunday arrives :-( I went for a late morning hike at Lickinghole Creek and Reservoir, and I ended up wiith 27 avian species, even without seeing 5 or 6 resident species that I usually see there. The highlights were 4 Wilson's Snipes, Green-winged Teals, a lone female Bufflehead, and a high flying Sharp-shinned Hawk that was being chased by a crow. The only sparrow species I saw this morning was a White-throated.
