It was only 82 degrees when I left my house this morning, but the near tropical humidity made it very uncomfortable. By the time I finished my hike an hour later, I had seen 21 avian species, and it was up to 89 degrees. One of the species was a female Orchard Oriole (my Old Trail species # 116). A juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk was calling for its mama.
