Blue Ridge Parkway, VA 10/4/17

Birds were few and far between on the parkway this morning. The best stop was at the north end of the cirque (mm. 7.5) where I saw at least 9 avian species, but the birds were either far away or disappeared quickly in the vegetation.

I stopped for a while at the Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch. The few interesting raptors were far away.
