Once again, we had an early morning start as we had to leave Denali National Park and catch an early afternoon train to Talkeetna. We still made necessary rest stops, but stopped less frequently to view large mammals.

I saw a Black-billed Magpie at one of the rest stops, and at the last rest stop, two smaller birds flew by. I was able to get a couple of distant photos, and immediately knew from their wing and tail patterns that I had another life bird - Bohemian Waxwing.

While we waited for the train to Talkeetna at the station, I saw a couple of immature Orange-crowned Warblers.

We then boarded the train. We were in a double-decker train car with large glass windows, but the back of the car had an open viewing platform, and I spent most of the train ride there with my camera. Most of the view was blocked by trees, but I did get a few scenery and wildlife shots. We also saw the only moose of the trip - a female and a calf, and a huge beaver lodge.
