Walt Childs and I went out to the Swoope area to see the Scott's Oriole, and were not disappointed!

We continued driving around Swoope, and ended up with 41 avian species including a few species seen on the way there and back from Swoope.

White-breasted Nuthatch

In addition to 5 woodpecker species and our first of season Tree Swallow, we saw at least 8 Red-tailed Hawks, 4 American Kestrels, a Northern Harrier, and a Bald Eagle in its nest.
