Old Trail

We had light rain overnight followed by overcast skies until a little after 10 a.m., and then sunny skies with brisk winds. Chores kept me busy until about 11 a.m., and then I did an 1-1/4 hour hike here in Old Trail. I ended up with 26 avian species, which wasn't bad given the time of day and the windy conditions. Had my first of year Eastern Kingbird, and saw a Common Yellowthroat singing for a mate in the wetlands near the lodge, and heard another one on the wetlands near the soccer field.
