Old Trail

It was a beautiful morning to be out birding, but the great weather also brought out lots of Old Trail residents, and I was able to log only 25 avian species. However, I did get my Old Trail avian species #141. It was a Greater Yellowlegs, foraging in a retention pond with a Spotted Sandpiper and a Solitary Sandpiper. The size difference was remarkable. I picked up another Solitary Sandpiper at a nearby retention pond.

I heard a Common Yellowthroat, and a newly arrived Yellow Warbler was busy singing for a mate.
