Old Trail

It was overcast and breezy, and with a late start and rain in the afternoon forecast, I decided to stay here in Old Trail. I changed my normal route to first go to good warbler habitat areas, but only saw one warbler species - the summer resident, male Yellow Warbler in the wetlands area. The good news is that I may have heard and seen two of them, and am hoping that this warbler has found a mate. A male Wood Duck stood motionless, apparently thinking that it was well camouflaged. I ended up with 34 avian species for the hike.
