Today didn't turn out how I had expected. With fog and clouds up in the mountains, I decided to go birding here in Old Trail (Crozet). I was up to 9 avian species and a few bugs, when I got a text message from Huck Hutchens.
House Sparrow
Spotted Orbweaver
Huck was up on Route 610, and said there was on and off fog, but birds everywhere. So I met up with Huck at the old tower. It was foggy when I got there, but I still saw quite a few warblers. I saw a Common Yellowthroat, and got very poor photos of Chestnut-sided and Blackburnian Warblers, as well as the following foggy photos.

When I got back to the old tower, I saw more birds.
Magnolia Warbler
At the tower, I saw one or two species that I could not identify. The first one looked like a Philadelphia Vireo in the field, but I think that it was a Blackpoll Warbler.

The second one might have been the same bird. It looks like it might have wing bars, and its bill looks decurved.
