I haven't been out birding since March10th because of tendonitis in my foot, but I needed to get out in the nice weather. Putting my boot on over the foot brace was interesting, but I managed it and did an abbreviated hike here in Old Trail this morning, and ended up with 32 avian species. None of the species were really special, but I did see my First of Season Pine Warbler and First of Season Tree Swallow. I ran into a small group of Charlottesville birders, and showed them a few of the good birding spots here.
