Old Trail

It was a beautiful morning to be out, but that was a double-edged sword. There were just too many people out and about here in Old Trail. Even though I logged 32 avian species, about a third of them were heard-only species, as birds were staying away from the trails because of all of the people.

I found a box that Tree Swallows had occupied. One of them (female?) kept poking its head into the box as if it were feeding little ones. Seems a bit early for egges to have hatched??.
