It was a bit chilly and quite breezy this morning, but I had a good outing and logged 30+ avian species, including a Wood Duck in the secluded pond along the trail up to the junior high school, two Ospreys fishing over the pond along Old Trail Drive, and a Killdeer in the field across Old Trail Drive from the swimming pool.

The weather was better this morning, but there weren't as many birds out. I wonder if the increased number of residents out and about on a weekend morning kept some of the birds hunkered down or deeper in the woods. I still managed to log 30 avian species this morning, and with some species I had not seen yesterday, I ended up with 40 avian species for my two-day list.
