Old Trail

It was a beautiful morning to be out birding, but the great weather combined with a holiday meant that lots of people were out on the trails, and birding was tough with all the noise and commotion. I ended up with only 22 avian species. In Western Park near the Lodge, I heard a Yellow Warbler but didn't see it. I did get a few photos of a Common Yellowthroat there.

As I hiked along the trail towards the soccer field, I heard another Yellow Warbler and another Common Yellowthroat, but didn't see either of them. Down at the soccer field, I heard my third of each of these two warblers, but only saw the Common Yellowthroat.

I birded a few other places in Old Trail, and only added a few more avian species. I did get to see a new butterfly species for me.
