I did some birding both here in Old Trail as well as Lickinghole Creek and Basin. It wasn't very "birdy" on any of these outings.

It was completely overcast when I went out this morning, and given the past week of birding, I didn't expect to see much. Boy, was I wrong! There were birds everywhere, and I ended the morning hike with about 30 avian species.

I got a quick look at a warbler with a yellow underside, but was unable to get a good photo. In previous years, Orange-crowned Warblers had been in this area of Old Trail.

There was a large flock (10+) of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and my First of Season Winter Wren.
