The weather was perfect for birding this morning. Although I did not see as many birds as yesterday, I did end up with 30 avian species today, giving me a two-day total of 36.

As I hiked past an area where Winter Wrens like to spend the winter, it was quiet. A moment later, a Winter Wren popped up and started chirping, and continued while I took a lot of photos. Not sure if it was saying, "Go Away!" or "Here I am. Take my photo!"

I haven't been seeing our resident Red-shouldered Hawks every day as I usually do, but near the end of my hike, there were three of them flying above me.
