January 13; Coiba National Park, Panama
We went ashore near the northest tip of Coiba Island, and went with Max on a short hike into the tropical rainforest.
We hadn't gotten very far when Max said, "Rufous-capped Warbler." My heart raced. MY NUMBER #2 NEMESIS BIRD SPECIES! "Where," I asked. Max pointed and I saw it flying. But would it land for a photo? It finally did, and my first few shots were out-of-focus. But I finally got a couple of good shots of this species.
I jokingly told Alice that we could go home now. Didn't need to see any more birds :-)
